Payment in full is required in advance, at the time of booking.
Where payment is made by cheque, manually by Paypal or by some other off-line method, the payment must be received within two weeks of booking. PDDS may cancel any bookings where cheques are not received in this time.
All pitch fees are as listed in the PDDS Store. In the event of an error in our pricing, you will have the option to pay any additional amount owing or to cancel for a full refund less any payment provider fees.
Peak Star Party is a "rain or shine" event. However, cancellations are allowed subject to the following terms:
- All cancellations made more than six weeks before the star party will be refunded in full less a £25 cancellation fee per pitch and any booking fees (e.g. Paypal).
- Cancellations within six weeks of the star party (after Sunday 1 September for PSP2013) cannot be refunded.
- The only exception is for groups we are trying to support charitably (e.g. schools and youth groups) where we will minimise cancellation fees.
Peak Star Party reserves the right to sell on any cancelled pitches.
Unlike some other star parties, we cannot allow pitch transfers as we have to be very careful which vehicle types are booked onto which pitches. This follows discussions with the site owners after a few camper-vans had to be moved when the ground was too soft in 2012. This also makes it more fair if there is a waiting list for a certain type of pitch as we can reallocate it to the person at the top of the list.
Site Rules & Star Party Etiquette
PDDS and the site owners expect all visitors to abide by the Site Rules and Star Party Etiquette guidelines. We will ask anybody breaking the rules or guidelines to amend their behaviour may ask anybody who persists in their behaviour to leave the Star Party.
Wherever possible, PDDS will attempt to make suitable alternative arrangements rather than cancel the Star Party.
In the unlikely event that PDDS are forced to cancel Peak Star Party, we will refund all bookings in full, less any committed payments (e.g. to the site owners or to presenter expenses) which will be divided equally on a pro-rata basis between all bookings.
Insurance & Liability
PDDS will have third party liability cover, equipment cover and employee liability cover in place for the duration of Peak Star Party.
PDDS will include a brief Health & Safety presentation in the Welcome Talk on the first evening of the Star Party; at least one attendee from each pitch is expected to attend this briefing.
PDDS make reasonable endeavours to ensure the safety and security of the site but can accept no liability for loss or damage to any attendee's equipment, or personal injury except as covered by the Third Party Liability insurance.
All attendees are therefore advised to ensure they have suitable and appropriate insurance cover in place for the duration of Peak Star Party.
